Steven Paul Steve Jobs also known as Jobs or Steve Jobs was a very successful businessman born on February 24, 1955 and died on October 5, 2011.

His popularity is mainly connected with his business as being the Founder and CEO of Apple but he had such charismatic personality that took a street guy from a garage into an office that was considered to be one of the most influential, powerful and successful business in history.

His death left a lot of people in agony and pain and a lot of people became curious to know about Steve’s background, where he came from, how he was brought up and other personal things that he was associated with.

What ? He was an American, as we all know him. Yes, he was but he was basically “Half Syrian”. His father name was Abdul Fattah Jandali and he was a restaurant owner in Reno, Nevada. Another astonishing fact is that they only met once in life by accident.


Steve’s mother was an American named Joanne Carole Schieble.  Steve’s grandfather had objection over the marriage and thus Steve was put for adoption.

The parents who adopted Steve were Clara and Paul Jobs.


Steve was a restless man so he decided along with his roommate to visit India for a spiritual journey. They went to see a Hindu guru (Neem Karoli Baba) but was told upon arrival that he has passed away. Steve started this journey in 1974 and roam across the country for seven months. It’s been said, upon his arrival back to states, he was wearing Indian clothes with a shave head.

He was influenced during his stay and we can say, he became partially a Buddhist.


No doubt, he was a legend and he was running the most successful business of all times but this is true that the man was a street boy, a homeless street boy.

What a life? As I mentioned above, Steve met his father by accident, he also met his sister in 1985, exactly after 30 years. Steve’s sister is a famous writer and after they meet became very good friends and used to meet each other almost daily.


Steve was Pescetarian, he never had meat and it’s been said, he was so fanatic about it that he had bad relations with companies like McDonald.

    Steve Jobs was one of the great inventors, in fact he not only invented some products but also changed the way of living by his inventions. Hats off to SJ..
