Many of you may not believe on the mentioned facts about truffle but they are true. If I am not wrong, you have some questions in your mind now, like, What is truffle? Where it found? Why is it so expensive? The answer to all these question

What is truffle?
Unlike other mushrooms, truffle grows underground mainly under the trees and they looks like a potato. They are very rare but delicious and used in many recipes round the world. Due to their higher prices they are often called “The Diamond of the kitchen”.
Where they found?
They are found in Croatia, Italy, France, Serbia, France, Slovenia and many other regions of world including Middle Eastern and North American countries.
How are they grown?
Like all other types of fungus, truffle also depends on other trees. They are majorly grown near the roots of trees under the ground in the forests.

Trained dogs are used to find out the presence of truffle under the ground because the dog’s sense of smell is very strong. Once the truffle is found, it is than pulled out of earth carefully.
Why is it so expensive?
It is very rare and its harvesting method is very difficult therefore its price can rise up to six figures. There are thousands of the types of truffles and their prices starts from 2200 USD per pound.
Uses of truffle:
A truffle is used in many Italian, French and Spanish recipes. They are often shaved over salads and also they are sliced in meat recipes. Truffle oil is one of its exclusive products and widely used in America.
It has been observed that the poisonous Mushrooms are darker in colors and it is strongly recommended not to eat mushrooms if you have no knowledge of them.
