I know you must be laughing but there are some very weird town names in America, and today we are going to explore 16 of them.

Taft, California was originally named Moron. It got renamed while president Taft was making a trip to the west coast, in the hope that he would add the town as a stop in honor of it. But he got sick and had to return to the east coast before he made it to the area
There are two in New Mexico that are kind of funny.
1. Truth or Consequences, NM
2. Carrizozo, NM
I don’t know much about american towns, but I can tell you about some weird town names in Germany. For example there is a place in Saxony called “Amerika” (it has about 200 inhabitants i think) and in Thuringa there is a village, which signs are stolen very often, because it’s called “Drogen” (in english: drugs).
Further names:
“Gabe Gottes” – gods gift
“Linsengericht” – meal of lentils
There are two connecting towns to Intercourse PA called ‘Blue Balls’ and ‘Gap’. Garners a witty remarks among people in that area of Pa
